Baiting Hollow is a hamlet located within the town of Riverhead in Suffolk County. Attractions near Baiting Hollow include the Long Island Railroad Museum and the historic Vail-Leavitt Music Hall, the Riverhead Raceway, Polish Town USA, and a popular waterpark and year-round aquarium. Several beaches are in Riverhead: Wading River Beach, Iron Pier Beach, South Jamesport and Reeves Beach. South Jamesport Beach has shallow water, which makes it a good swimming beach for children. Fishing and boating are also available from these beaches. Baiting Hollow is situated on the picturesque North Fork of Long Island, which is considered the "wine country". There are also many picturesque farms and farm stands in the area where you can "pick your own" strawberries, peaches, and pumpkins, in season. Other nearby points of interest include the Sag Harbor Whaling Museum, the East End Seaport Maritime Museum, the Montauk Point Lighthouse, and the Big Duck Museum.
